Crafted for a wearer from the desert regions of Palestine, the fabric is a satin-cotton blend designed to keep her cool in the hot climate. The chest panel, known as the "Qabah," features a combination of discs and star motifs, showcasing traditional embroidery. The sleeves, side panels, and the back bottom panel of the thobe are adorned with delicate birds perched on branches.

There are a total of eight panels that run down the dress, each contributing to its intricate design. The color choices and the thick red hem at the bottom of the thobe signal its origin from Beer Al Sabah.
